Volunteer
Volunteers help with projects that range from direct service for children to maintenance and construction projects. You or your group can help in any of the following areas:
- Assisting with the children at the 4 Kids Early Learning Network—for instance in art, after-school activities, and literacy support
- Community landscaping
- Office support
- Fund raising
- Technology
- Marketing
- Special events, fairs, and festivals
- Clean-up / paint-up / fix-up
We strive to ensure that the work completed by volunteers is personally fulfilling and beneficial to Heritage and the community in which we serve. We have hosted Fortune 500 companies to local high schools. We are interested in helping you to meet your volunteer needs by providing opportunities for both individuals and groups of all sizes.
For every dollar saved through volunteer projects we are able to direct funds to needs such as books and educational supplies for children, job search support for trainees, and expanded service for riders of our community van service.
Volunteers who will work with children and are over the age of 18 must fulfill Pennsylvania requirements: Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearances (Act 33/34) and a health assessment, including a TB test.
