We provide several options for enrolling your child; all children six weeks and older are welcome, regardless of family income level. We currently operate 1 infant room, 1 young toddler room, 2 older toddler rooms, and 4 preschool rooms (2 Pre-K Counts classrooms and 2 Headstart classrooms).
Fees are based on individual family circumstances. If a family is eligible for a subsidy such as CCIS (Child Care Information Services), the 4 Kids staff will assist in the arrangements—we work closely with parents to make sure care is available and affordable for all families. 4 Kids also offers bridge funding for income-eligible families through our involvement with the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) program. Every child receives the same excellent care and education, no matter what the family pays.
4 Kids early learning center is open 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We close for eight holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also close on five in-service days for staff training; parents are told the in-service dates in advance, so they can make other plans for their children. In case of an emergency or weather related closings, our Alert Now system allows parents to know in advance if the center will be closed or delayed.
To enroll a child, the parent or guardian fills out some forms, and the child must have a physical examination. To learn more about enrolling your child:
Zadie was involved in an horrific automobile accidents when she was only three-years-old. After the accident, Zadie had a long recovery process and endured frightening nightmares that impacted her ability to participate fully at school.
At Heritage 4 Kids Early Learning Center, Zadie had a safe environment in which to talk about her nightmares. Her teachers listened and found the best way to help her through this life changing situation. Through play therapy conducted in her classroom, Zadie was able to overcome her nightmares and enjoy being a kid again!
